So we've had a month and a half to get used to the idea of living with a five year old, but I thought I'd be official and share some photos of the birthday girl's big day and festivities surrounding!
Hello sprinkles! Everly enjoys her cinnamon rolls (and everything really) with a little extra sugar on top. She did an exceptionally wonderful job decorating breakfast on her birthday morning!
We hadn't ever been to Sky Zone before and decided to go as a family and burn some energy! They happened to have a toddler open jump time on her birthday, so it worked out great! She had a blast bouncing away. What fun!
After that Uncle Cici took her to Build a Bear for her birthday present. It took a while to find the perfect dress, but after many outfit changes she made up her mind and managed to pick :) She loves her new bear Natalie!
Every year she picks a birthday theme and five was Snow White! Happy Birthday to our sweet and precious, thoughtful, funny princess! Can't wait to see what this big year ahead holds for you!
Last night, thanks to a Christmas present from my parents, Dustin and I were able to take Everly to her first professional ballet performance! We went to the Civic Center to take in Ballet Des Moines' spring show, Cinderella! Pretty dress and new sparkly shoes in tow, she got situated in her seat that liked to fold up, and was very very eager for that curtain to go up.
A nice intermission to stretch our legs and show off a few dance moves, inspired, of course, by the performance onstage...
I wish I could've taken pictures of Everly's cute little face as she took in the performance. She kept track of where everyone was on stage and off and enjoyed seeing the different costumes. She even made sure to whisper when she had something to say :) She did great!
We have now had the privilege of living with a FOUR year old for the last two weeks! Unfortunately the recognition of this milestone is coming late due to computer technical difficulties. She had been requesting a 'Belle birthday' for the entirety of her threes so hence the cake attempt in photos below. By the end of the night she was a pro at singing happy birthday [to herself] and blowing out the candles as many times as possible...
What a wonderful girl and such a blessing to our lives! Oh how pleased we are with her and thrilled to spend our days watching her learn and grow. Can't wait to enjoy this next year with her and looking forward to the already decided 5 year Snow White birthday. [We'll see if that changes :)]
