We are excited to let everyone know...a little brother is on the way!

First Fish

Tonight we went fishing at Raccoon River Park.  It was our family's inaugural fishing outing together. It was a lovely night and Dustin and Everly each had their own respective catches! 

 

Here we are on our way to the fishing spot and Evie even carried the worms!

Dustin was the first to catch a little bluegill.

And here's Evie's first catch!  She called the fish 'blue gales' all night :)

Everly's First BALLET!

Last night, thanks to a Christmas present from my parents, Dustin and I were able to take Everly to her first professional ballet performance!  We went to the Civic Center to take in Ballet Des Moines' spring show, Cinderella!  Pretty dress and new sparkly shoes in tow, she got situated in her seat that liked to fold up, and was very very eager for that curtain to go up. 

 

A nice intermission to stretch our legs and show off a few dance moves, inspired, of course, by the performance onstage...

I wish I could've taken pictures of Everly's cute little face as she took in the performance.  She kept track of where everyone was on stage and off and enjoyed seeing the different costumes. She even made sure to whisper when she had something to say :) She did great!

 

The first of (hopefully!) many ballets to come!
